The New Jersey Devils got 27 saves from Martin Brodeur to tie their Eastern Conference Finals series with a 4-1 win over the New York Rangers in Game 4. Coming off a shutout at the hands of Henrik Lundqvist on Saturday, Brodeur carried a shutout late into the third period and goals from Bryce Salvador, Travis Zajac and Zach Parise, who also added an empty netter, helped the team keep pace in this best-of-seven set. Game 5 will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York on Wednesday. Ruslan Fedotenko scored the lone goal while Lundqvist gave up three goals on 29 shots for the Rangers, who have won their two games in this series by shutouts.

Jonathan Quick posted 18 saves and Dwight King scored the winner in the third period as the Kings took a 2-1 win over the Phoenix Coyotes in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals on Thursday. The Kings, who beat Vancouver in five games in the quarters then swept the Blues in the semis, are now up 3-0 in this best-of-seven series. They can advance to the finals for the first time since 1993 with a win in Game 4 on Sunday afternoon. Daymond Langkow scored the lone goal while Mike Smith made 26 saves in the loss for the Coyotes, whose first conference finals berth in team history could be a brief one.

Dwight King also scored for the Kings, who took both games in Phoenix and will look to take a stranglehold on the series in Los Angeles on Thursday. The victory marked the Kings' seventh straight road win in these playoffs, tying the 2010 Chicago Blackhawks for the NHL record for consecutive road wins in a single postseason. Mike Smith allowed all four goals on 40 shots in the loss.
