Nearly three dozen East Tennesseans tied to various drug related crimes are facing charges.
The Claiborne County sheriff's department started a county-wide round-up Friday morning. Officers picked up the suspects throughout the day.
It's the latest effort in Claiborne County to end drug abuse.
The sheriff says he just doesn't understand why people, particularly drug dealers, aren't getting the hint.
"We will identify those people, we'll find them, we'll locate them and we'll arrest them if they continue to sell drugs in this county. I don't know how many times I told that same little speech to the press, to the public. Why they don't understand, I don't know. We are not going away," said Sheriff David Ray.
The arrests come following a 12 month undercover investigation where authorities made dozens of drug buys that will now be used as evidence in the cases.
