Several East Tennessee women took part in a Women for Obama House Party Wednesday evening. Events like it are going on across the state and country.
First Lady Michelle Obama organized the parties in support of her husband's campaign.
These women talked about why they support the president and why he should be re-elected. They plan to remind others to register to vote and make phone calls on President Obama's behalf.
"It's such an important right and it's sort of been pushed aside in the past few years," said House Party Hostess Mary Wilson. "We need to encourage everybody to go vote."
These house parties will take place many more times before the general election this November.
