Automatic External Defibrillator
An East Tennessee fire department gets a much needed donation -- that will help crews with emergency care.
The Clinton Fire Department received three new Automated External Defibrillators (AED's) Wednesday, thanks to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.
The equipment is worth more than $3000 dollars and will replace outdated units. The fire department wouldn't have been able to get new AED's right now without this donation, because of a tight budget
"It helps us save a lot of people's lives that wouldn't ordinarily be saved if we didn't have an AED. You can do CPR only so much, with the AEDs, you can do so much more," said Lt. Anthony Braden.
Since 2005, the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has donated more than $228 thousand dollars to public safety entities in Tennessee.
