Our new neighbor is from Chicago and is always complaining about "the hot dogs you have around here".
He says the ones "back home" are a lot better. I don't ask him why because I don't want to hear him
complain any more than he does already. Aren't hot dogs all the same?

Those Chicago people. I love 'em to death but they
have such a superiority complex when it comes to their hot dogs. Yes, they are different in Big Chi but I'm not crazy about them. They do use all-beef frankfurters, which is good...[then they put them on a poppy seed bun. They use yellow mustard. The hot dog is topped with yellow mustard but then they cover it with chopped white onions. They use a sweet pickle relish but it has fresh chopped mint leaves in it. That gives it a bright neon-green color. They add a dill pickle spear, tomato slices, pickled peppers and a dash of celery salt. That's a little bit of an over kill but they like it. There's a hot dog place in Morristown called Jimmy's that serves them.

What did you end up getting your wife for Valentine's Day? Did she like it?

I got her a nice card and some pretty flowers. I tried to get some Chocolate covered strawberries, but by the time I went shopping they were sold out. So I bought her a bag of salt & vinegar potato chips. And yes, she liked everything. Even the chips. She loves potato chips...even better than strawberries. Lucky for me.
