Janet Testerman is well on her way to getting back what cancer took from her:  her breasts.

She's now in the second leg of her journey. She's undergoing breast reconstruction. "I'm ready to expedite this process. You can actually see your body go back to its original shape."

Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Matthew Becker began reconstructing Janet's breasts immediately after her mastectomy.  He inserted expanders which are periodically filled with fluid to stretch the skin.  Eventually, they will be replaced by breast implants.

Now on her road to recovery, Janet is also on the road to New York for the "Champions for a Cause" Motorcycle ride. "I've been a part of the foundation for five years helping to raise money and awareness for breast cancer. It will be interesting to see if from this perspective, " said Testerman.

The motorcyclists are bound for Niagara Falls, New York but will be making stops along the way  to raise awareness.  They'll return  to Knoxville on Saturday, May 15th.
